Festival of Performing Arts   Website

Sponsored by the Powell River Rotary Club, the Festival is based on the fundamental idea of giving all participants the best possible support for their artistic development. The festival provides the opportunity for participants to learn from each other and to gain stage experience in a friendly atmosphere. Every performer who enters in this spirit will learn, and be a “winner” in the true sense of the word.

The Festival has been a Powell River tradition for over 65 years offering opportunities to a wide range of performing artists including piano, voice, strings, wind and brass instruments, speech arts, and amateur

choirs, bands, string and jazz ensembles.

A non-profit organization which operates the Malaspina Exhibition Centre at Malaspina University-College, a registered public gallery which provides a venue for local artists and a showplace for a variety of visual arts. Artists are paid an honorarium. A permanent collection of art by local artists is on display during the summer. New members welcome.
